Atech once again convened a 48-hour teaching strike starting this Wednesday

The Board of Directors of the Association of Education Workers of Chubut (Atech), resolved yesterday to call another work stoppage for tomorrow, Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th, given “the lack of responses from the Government” to the claims of the teaching sector in the Province.
The Atech Board of Directors meeting took place in the early hours of yesterday afternoon, counting on the school mandates after the assemblies held to define the continuity of the fight plan. And despite the confirmation by the Minister of Government, José Grazzini, of the discount of the days, it was resolved to return to the strike.
It was reported from the Atech that “schools that are closed without any arrangement, school transportation that is not guaranteed in many places in the province, school supplies that do not cover what is necessary for cleaning educational institutions to sustain school canteens ».
«To all this – they continued from the educational union – to recall the adjustment of teaching hours, the illegal discounts for retention of services and the lack of a response to the request for salary recomposition, after 20 months without discussion, being the only province that he has not had salary equalities ».
Alluding then to a “situation that shows the abandonment of the provincial government, the majority of the school mandates led to the holding of a 48-hour provincial strike on Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26, with the holding of marches and unified caravans for the Thursday 26 ”, they indicated.

ASSEMBLY FRIDAY

On Friday, August 27, school assemblies will be held to develop a mandate with actions to follow. “The proposal to take into account is the realization of a provincial mobilization, to be resolved by mandates at the next Council meeting to be held next Saturday,” reported from Atech.
They demand that the government guarantee the schooling of the students, that there be school transportation, that the items reach for breakfast, snack, lunch and cleaning; that the schools are in good condition and that the teachers have a decent salary, a salary recomposition like the rest of the country.
