“At Ajax they try to make me a complete keeper”

Jay Gorter is happy with his development at Jong Ajax, but is disappointed that his team still has zero points after two matches. Young Ajax lost in extremis against FC Dordrecht on Monday evening at De Toekomst.

Gorter was the star of Jong Ajax, especially in the first half. “I’m happy with how I’ve played two games already, but the predominant thing is that we haven’t taken a point yet,” Gorter told ESPN.

“How is this for my development? I think well. You are brought into other situations. Some people from the outside do not understand that if you come from Ajax 1, you will have to let a team run. there is still development possible. I am an accomplice to that,” says the goalkeeper.

“I play a lot and train at the highest level, so this is great for my development. There are new things here that I didn’t have last season. At Ajax they try to make me a complete keeper, I think I have those qualities I showed that.”
