PATTI (ME) – Alma Patti Basket fully confirms the “pink” leadership for its second Serie A2 women’s basketball league championship. Also for the 2021-2022 season, the Sicilian team will be able to count on the “Buzzanca – Perseu” tandem to recreate a coaching staff with a clear feminine imprint, as rarely happens in sport in Italy.
And just Perseu has found in recent days the agreement with the Alma of the president Attilio Scarcella to remain assistant coach and officially returned to work alongside the head coach Mara Buzzanca, resuming the long planning meetings that characterize the activity of the group pattese. “I am happy to renew with Patti and to have resumed the days of work with all the staff – comments Perseu -. Our programming is careful (even to superstition!) But we clearly aim to do well. We want to confirm the goodness of the work that last year brought many of the athletes who played with us to Serie A1 for the first time. We will clearly measure this with the new group. The team is different, except for Micovic and Verona, the roster is young, as is our foreigner. This will bring positive and negative factors, but we have a full season to work and shape the group according to our basketball. We hope to achieve global (team) and individual goals (for each individual player) and to do so in front of our public ready to support us again at PalaSerranò ”.
He will approach the first team, remaining at the same time as the under 13 coach and the under 17 of Alma Patti, coach Giuseppe Costantino. It is the same coach from Campania (as a flag player of the Pattese basketball since 2005) who explains what his new role will be during the 2021-2022 season. “In the morning I will do individual training with the younger players of the first team, while in the afternoon I will follow the two under groups born last year again. The season that ended a few months ago was a training season for our players in the nursery, we started from scratch, so we hope to give a more solid base this season. Coach Buzzanca and even the president Scarcella himself are working to bring to the city, either permanently or with the loan formula, several prospects of the district (hosted in the guesthouse) to continue working on the growth of the basketball players of the future.
