MEXICO CITY.
German tennis player Alexander Zverev (number 5 in the ranking ATP) was proclaimed the new Olympic champion by defeating the Russian in the final of the men’s individual tournament Karen Khachanov (number 25) in two sets.
Alexander Zverev won in two sets, 6-3 and 6-1, to Karen Kchachanov in a duel that dominated in much of this the German. Has made history in these Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Alexander Zverev, who in the semifinals defeated the great favorite, Novak Djokovic, won the first gold medal for Germany in tennis since 1988, when Steffi Graff she triumphed in the individual female modality.
