To all the expectations created with his tennis he has already responded Alexander Zverev, Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020 for gallons, strength and courage.

The German had already won a medal, and of the greats, by stopping Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, a feat of good because the Serbian was shooting towards gold in his dream of achieving the Golden Slam, the four Grand Slams and the Olympic glory in the same year. But he overcame the Serbian stumbling block, who struck him 6-1 in the first set, but fell apart later, mentally exhausted after losing that opportunity. In the final match of the tournament, Zverev showed his imperial tennis against an overly nervous Khachanov. In one hour and 19 minutes he overwhelmed the Russian 6-3 and 6-1 and then knelt on the court, smiling because he is a success that surpasses even those he has in ATP tennis.

Forever Zverev is golden, waiting for him on the circuit to get also meet expectations with a Grand Slam. He stayed close at the 2020 US Open, but he is already approaching those rounds in which they become the champions with ease. He already is. A gold that makes him great and unique, as he is the first male tennis player to conquer this feat, 33 years after the medal achieved by Steffi Graf in Seoul 88.
