With the bronze medal around my neck, the entire Israeli judo team returned today to their homeland with full happiness. After a long journey from Japan, the plane touched down on Israeli soil and they were greeted by fans as national heroes.

After the victory against Russia last Saturday, in a mixed team, the eleventh medal in Olympic history was obtained for the Middle Eastern country. The privileged were Li Kochman, Inbar Lanir, Peter Paltchick, Raz Hershko, Sagi Muki, Timna Nelson Levy, Shira Rishony, Or Sasson, Baruch Shmailov, Tohar Butbul y Gili Sharir.
