Advice for Arsenal: sack Arteta, take Conte

Jakarta

Arsenal are advised to start approaching Antonio Conte for the manager’s seat. Conte is considered the right person to return them to the path of success.

Arsenal started the season badly after being defeated by promotion team, Brentford. The Gunners defeated 0-2 by the debutant Premier League team, which last played in the top division of the English League in 1947 ago.

Since being handled by Mikel Arteta starting in December 2019, Arsenal have not really looked convincing consistently. They have won the FA Cup and Community Shield, but their performance in the Premier League is still mediocre by always finishing outside the top four.

Seeing Arsenal’s start this season, former England striker Darren Bent thinks management needs to start considering changing managers. A figure like Antonio Conte, who is currently unemployed after separating from Inter Milan, is considered appropriate to lead the team.

“The situation at Arsenal is tough to watch. The performance against Brentford yesterday was bad, they were bullied. Their performance was not pleasant to watch and I’m sorry for Ben White,” said the former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa player, quoted as saying. talkSPORT.

“If you want to go back to the good times, just sack Mikel Arteta and bring in someone like Antonio Conte. They spend a lot of money on new players and it looks like they’re going backwards.”

“With Conte, the situation is different. If you can bring Conte, bring him. But will Conte come? I don’t know. If they have a feeling they can get Conte, just fire Arteta,” added the man who is now an analyst.
