Trevor Story believes Xander Bogaerts is underrated

Between shortstop players, we support each other. After the All-Star Game, Trevor Story gave comments to Xander Bogaerts that all baseball fans should agree with.

According to him, Bogaerts is a very (too) underestimated player.

The two leagues separate us a bit, but he’s so underrated it’s amazing. He’s such a good player offensively and defensively. I enjoy the way he goes on the pitch every day and how he plays every day. It’s like he’s getting a hit of more than one goal every day. He’s a really productive player. And he’s good for the game.

It’s hard not to agree with the Rockies player. Xander Bogaerts is not given due recognition. The guy is one of the top three shortstop players in major league baseball.

As a baseball fan, I love to watch him play. But as a Blue Jays fan, I don’t like having him in the same division as my team so much, though. I dread it when he’s at bat.

This year, Bogaerts is having an exceptional season. In fact, that’s why he took part in the All-Star Game and even struck third, behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr., in the American lineup.

In 85 games this season, he’s hitting for .321 and leading the league in doubles with 27. His OBP of .385 and OPS of .930 are excellent numbers as well. Truly he is a formidable player and even last year when his team had some hiccups he was the only player to produce.

In short, it’s good to see that his peers also see how very talented the shortstop is.
