This Sunday, through its Twitter account, the Antioquia club Leones FC indicated the loan of four players to América de Cali. They are Juan Sebastián Osorio (son of coach Juan Carlos Osorio), Geovan Montes, Cristian Rodríguez and Jhon Palacios. Two of them debuted in a 3-1 win against Junior.
“Four of our young talents were asked to reinforce the lines of América de Cali. We are proud of their great step. We wish them every success in this great leap in their sports careers,” said the Itagüí team on their social networks.
Juan Sebastián Osorio: winger who plays on the right, with a pre-youth Colombian Selection process and with a short stint at the Banfield of Argentina. He is 18 years old and came to Leones after training with Atlético Nacional, where he arrived at the request of his father, Juan Carlos Osorio. This year he was promoted to the first team, after being part of the U-20 team.
Geovan Montes: 25-year-old right-back who has played in Colombia for La Equidad, Tigres, Atlético Huila and Águilas Doradas. Between 2018 and 2019 he added good numbers in the B with Tigres, where he played 48 games and scored eight goals. This led him to sign in first with the opitas, but he came out without much prominence.
Two of them have already debuted in League 2021-II:
Cristian Rodríguez: 19-year-old offensive midfielder who made his professional debut in 2020 with Lions. It came with a purchase option and it is one of the great bets of Juan Carlos Osorio for the ‘Red Devils’. He already had minutes at the start of the League against Junior. He entered for the second half to replace Joao Rodríguez.
Jhon Alexander Palacios: central defender who plays with a right profile. He is 21 years old, strong and tall, and with Leones he was captain in the U-20 championship. He was a starter during the first half of the year. He also comes with a purchase option and had the opportunity to debut, as a starter, against Junior. He did it by partnering with Jorge Segura.
