Praia, Jul 27 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean judoka Sandrine Billiet was eliminated on Monday, in the -63 kg category, after losing to the French Clarisse Agbegnenou, after beating the Uzbekistan Khojieva Farangiz, in her debut in the Tokyo Olympics.

During the first fight played on the Budokan mat, Sandrine Billiet won, according to the official Olympic Games website, by ippon (perfect shot) in a dispute that lasted one minute and 26 seconds.

In the second phase, the Cape Verdean athlete, who was competing for the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, was immobilized by an ippon after 20 seconds of fighting.

Thus, Sandrine Billiet bids farewell to the fight for the medals since it is necessary to qualify for the quarter-finals to be eligible for the bronze medal record. Next Friday July 30 it will be swimming time, with Troy Pina competing in the 50-meter freestyle modality.
