After a quiet start to Bagnères-de-Luchon, where the intermediate sprint will be judged at kilometer 113, the peloton will meet with three formidable climbs posted in the last 60 kilometers of the route towards Saint-Lary-Soulan, where the he finish will be judged at the top of the Col du Portet, listed out of category for its long ascent of 16 km at 8.7% average.
Before this final fight, the 145 remaining riders will have to thwart the no less formidable ascent of the Col de Peyresourde (cat.1) and its 13.2 km at 7%, before continuing ten kilometers later with a new col de category 1, namely the Col de Val Louron-Azet (7.4 to 8.3%).
