The sports technicians of the Real Madrid Foundation finished a few weeks ago the sessions of the socio-sports basketball school held at the ‘Mariano Ribera’ Socio-educational Residence in Burjassot (Valencia), a resource owned by the Department of Equality and Inclusive Policies of the Generalitat Valenciana and managed by Fundación Diagrama through a comprehensive management contract.
On this last day, the young people attended at the resort received the official equipment of the team, also enjoying a tournament in which they had the opportunity to put into practice all the knowledge, techniques and strategies acquired throughout the course. This activity was carried out applying all the recommended safety and hygiene measures, thus guaranteeing a safe environment for both the group of participants and the technical staff, who were very satisfied with the attitude, commitment and dedication demonstrated by the users and participating users.
Through the training sessions carried out in the socio-sports school, the interest in sports in general and basketball in particular has been strengthened among the people assisted in ‘Mariano Ribera’, thus enabling the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits. The Diagrama Foundation and the Real Madrid Foundation plan to continue developing this initiative during the next academic year.
