The 2021/22 roster of
Biella basketball is enriched by two young prospects of the national basketball scene. The arrivals of the rossoblù are official Carlo Porfilio e
Jacopo Soviero.
Porfilio, play-guard born on April 9, 2001, 195 cm, grew up in the Reggio Emilia nursery where his growth path has brought important awards, first of all his participation in the Next Jan 2019/20 where he held a average of 12 points and 41% from the arc. In the last championship he wore the Reggio Emilia shirt, concluding his youth path and finding space in the first team on two occasions. The one with the rossoblù jersey of Pallacanestro Biella will be his first experience among the seniors.
Like Porfilio, Jacopo Soviero also comes from the red and white youth teams of Reggio Emilia. Playmaker born in Salerno on January 12, 2001, 190 centimeters by 85 kilograms, in the last season he wore the Bologna Basket 2016 (Serie B) shirt, finding continuity in terms of minutes played and responsibilities, ending his championship at 7.9 average points.
Two young athletes who have chosen Biella to continue their growth path, a square that has always aimed at the enhancement of talents on the launch pad as a philosophy.

We followed Jacopo in his Serie B season in Bologna and we think he has all the credentials to play many minutes with responsibility in A2. Carlo is in his first experience away from Reggio Emilia, but he is a very talented player and we are sure that he will immediately have an important impact in this category. The work he will do together with our technical staff led by coach Zanchi will be decisive for his future ”.
These are Soviero’s first words as a rossoblù player: “I am very happy to join Pallacanestro Biella, a noble club with an incredible history. I can’t wait to start this new adventure and to join my comrades at the Forum to start working. Come on Biella! ”.
