sumptuous shot from Thomas Pieters, 2nd in the standings, 116 meters from the hole

The Belgians Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry made their entry into the Olympic Games in golf on Thursday. And the least we can say is that Pieters did not miss his debut with a nice provisional 2nd place. The Belgian also stood out with a superb shot.

Positioned 116 meters from the hole, Thomas Pieters did not shake and made a eagle on the 11th hole thanks to a magnificent iron shot. At the end of the first day, the Belgian surrendered a -6 card and currently climbs to second place in the standings.

For his part, Thomas Detry played 17 of 18 holes on the course before the storm interrupted the tournament. With a card of -1, Detry is provisionally 30th.
