Schmeichel quips Football’s Coming Home: England Ever Won the Euros?

London

England’s advance to the semifinals of Euro 2020 makes jargon “Footballi is Coming Home” echoed again. Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel quipped. What did he say?

England is indeed one of the favorites to win the European Cup this time. However, their performance was not good in the group phase because they only scored two goals from three matches, despite qualifying as group winners with seven points.

It was only then that England showed their tajir when they beat Germany in the round of 16 with a score of 2-0. In the quarterfinals last week, England raged with a 4-0 victory over Ukraine.

That means England advance to the semifinals with a record of not conceding in five games! England also became fierce because they had six goals in two games, then Harry Kane started sharp with a score of three goals, equal to Raheem Sterling.

With this performance, England fans were confident in seeing their team’s chance to win and as usual, the jargon ‘Football is Coming Home’ was back on social media. This means that England will win another trophy after the last one at the 1966 World Cup.

Well, the frenzy about Football is Coming Home was then asked the Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who will be the opponent in the semifinals, Thursday (7/7/2021) early morning WIB.

“Is it true that Football is Coming Home? Please tell me, have you ever been champions? Looks like it was in the World Cup, not in Europe right?” Schmeichel said in a video that went viral on social media.

Not enough, Schmeichel again quipped that Denmark doesn’t care about The Three Lions’ ever-increasing graphics, and focuses on their own team’s game.

“Honestly, I’m not thinking about how to beat England more than thinking about winning Denmark. Yes, maybe I focus on them very little, but for me they are not a problem,” continued Kasper Schmeichel

Denmark has indeed been more successful in the European Cup, having reached the final once in 1992 and won it by beating Germany 2-0. England always stuck in the semifinals, the last in 1996.

Do you think England vs Denmark, who will be the winner?
