Santiago Martínez triumph in the Murcia badminton tournament

The Badminton Club Soria-CS24 concluded the first part of the competition season playing the tournament organized by the Murcian Federation in the town of The Cotillas Towers and included by the Spanish Federation within its scoring tests.

The only representative from Soria was Santiago Martinez who participated in the senior category and who started as the first seed.

Santiago fulfilled the predictions and won the victory by winning all their matches by two sets to zero. The game that the winner would decide was the most complicated with a great physical demand that fell on the side of the Soriano by 24-22 and 21-18 against the local Antonio Brao.

This result helps Santiago Martínez to get some very valuable points to maintain his position at the top of the national ranking with the aim of entering the call-up of the national team for the World Championships to be held at the end of the year. .

After this competition, the Soriano badminton club will enjoy a month of vacation to resume training in mid-August and face the second part of the season with the first competitions in September.
