Rickie Fowler, ready for the British Open: “I’m on the right track”

“Here you are back in Saint George’s, where for the first time in your career you had won in major, during the 2011 edition (5th). How did you deal with this pressure, then at 22?
Much of the pressure came from Saturday when we had bad weather. I played well the first two days even though I was on the more difficult side of the board, but on Saturday I remember seeing Tom Watson playing really good golf. My caddy and I chatted and we both agreed that if we approached our tour with the right frame of mind – we knew the day was going to be tough – we could enjoy it, have fun and go. the front. Due to the conditions this was one of the best games I have played (card of 68, editor’s note). It allowed me to be in a good position for Sunday. It was much easier, after dealing with the weather conditions on Saturday.
