At 22, Tadej Pogacar is on the verge of winning the Tour de France for the second time. The youngest winner of the yellow jersey last year – and the second youngest winner of the Tour since Henri Cornet in 1904, before the invention of the distinctive jersey in 1919 – the Slovenian thus joins, with these two successes, riders of the caliber of Fausto Coppi (1949, 1952), Bernard Thévenet (1975, 1977), Laurent Fignon (1983, 1984) or Alberto Contador (2007, 2009). His undivided domination in this edition, of which he has already won three stages, raises questions. Here are a few.

Why is he so strong?
Its domination does not date from yesterday. Tadej Pogacar started cycling at the age of 8 in a club in Ljubjana, where his mother is a French teacher and his father is an industrial designer. Before he was 18, he was already winning one of the main junior stage races, the Giro della Lunigiana.
