Patrick Mahomes is now co-owner of two professional sports franchises in Kansas City.
The Chiefs quarterback became the newest member of the Sporting Kansas City owner group on Tuesday. This transaction comes almost a calendar year to the day after he became part owner of the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball.

Mahomes, 25, was an NFL MVP in 2018 before guiding the Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl seasons, including a 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
