Las Vegas Raiders president Marc Badain resigned Monday a few days before training camp began.

Team owner Mark Davis has announced that Badain is leaving the organization and Vice President Dan Ventrelle will take on the role of President on an interim basis.

Badain started his career as a passer on the sidelines and then remained with the team for 30 years. He eventually became director of finance for the team and assistant to former president Amy Trask.

Badain took on the role of Interim President in 2013 when Trask left the organization, then was appointed permanently in 2015.

He was notably involved in the team’s move from Oakland to Las Vegas last season.

Badain therefore left his post before he could even attend a game at the brand new Allegiant Stadium with the stands full. The games were presented behind closed doors last season due to the pandemic.
