The NBA 75th Anniversary Edition of the video game “celebrates three of the most important basketball icons who have revolutionized the league in the 75 years of its existence,” said video game distributor 2K.

“I’m very honored to be on the cover with these two great players that I admire,” said Nowitzki. He said he never saw himself as a legend.

Nowitzki, however, celebrated success like one: The 43-year-old was a 14-time all-star, NBA champion 2011 and league MVP 2007 during his playing days. Size not only the global spread of basketball, but also the evolution of the game itself. “

In addition to Nowitzki, Doncic also graces the NBA 2K22 cover

Nowitzki isn’t the only (ex) Dallas star to grace the NBA 2K22 cover. The cover of the standard edition shows the Slovenian Luka Doncic, who took over the leading role at the Dallas Mavericks after Nowitzki’s resignation in 2019.

“I am proud to represent my country on a special cover that honors the national colors of the Slovenian flag. The sport of basketball has given me so much,” said Doncic. “That’s why I’m all the more delighted to give something back and to be able to work with 2K Foundations this year to help children and young people around the world.”
