Nathalee Aranda aims to reach the long jump final in Tokyo

Nathalee Aranda became the tenth Panamanian to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, where he has had like other athletes to go the extra mile, due to the pandemic of the Covid-19but he hit the target and now he’s aiming high.

As she herself admits “It has been an Olympic cycle of ups and downs due to the pandemic, but thank God it was possible to achieve the objective that was to qualify” for the Tokyo Games.

The Colenense who got her long jump ticket to Tokyo, showed her joy to the surface, it is not for less, to reach about Juegos Olímpicos is the dream of many athletes and Aranda already has his ticket insured.

“Too happy to have qualified for Tokyo,” said the jumper who is trained by an old acquaintance in Panamanian athletics and that has given many results, Florencio Aguilar.

And is that Aranda, maintains that he seeks to prepare in the best way and give everything to reach Tokio in his best conditions, with a clear objective, wants to enter the final in the long jump.

“To continue preparing, to get to Tokyo in the best possible way to make my competition a success, with the favor of God to achieve great goals, one of them qualifying for the final.” Aranda expressed.

For his part, his coach Florencio Aguilar added that a goal was reached.

“Achieved the goal in a long way since 2019, Nathalee Aranda qualifies for the Tokyo Olympics, “said Aguilar.

For his part, the president of the Panamanian Athletics Federation, Mario Quintero, explained that Aranda will be concentrated in Japan, in a city near Tokyo, with a view to its presentation at the Games.

Quintero continued to advocate for athletics to have its exclusive stadium for this discipline.

Aranda in long jump joins Jorge Catelblanco (marathon), Gianna Woodruff (400 meters hurdles), Alonso Edward (200 meters) Atheyna Bylon (boxing), Christofer Jurado (cycling), Kristine Jiménez and Miryam Roper in judo; swimmers Emily Santos in the 100-meter breaststroke and Tyler Christianson.
