National team defender English Harry Maguire reveals his father allegedly broke a rib after being trampled on while watching the final Euro 2020 (Euro 2021) at Wembley Stadium, Monday (12/7) early morning WIB.
Maguire called his 56 -year -old father caught up in a riot of supporters trying to get into Wembley.
As is known, a group of fans who did not have tickets tried to break through the entrance ahead of the Italy vs England match which caused several security officers to fall and get injured.
England and Manchester United star Harry Maguire later revealed that his father, Alan, was one of the spectators caught in the clash.
Maguire said his father fell to the floor and that two of his ribs were allegedly broken in the stampede. Maguire’s father also had difficulty breathing due to the pinch.

Speaking to The Sun quoted from Evening Standard, Maguire describes what happened to his father in that terrifying incident.
“My father was in the riot. I haven’t been able to talk to him too much but I’m glad my kids didn’t go to the game,” Maguire said.
“It was scary. He said he was scared and I don’t want anyone to experience that again at a football game.”

The highlight of Euro 2020 was marred by ticketless supporters forcing their way through security and breaking down the entrance to Wembley Stadium.
As a result, a number of fans who had tickets, including the families of players or coaches that night had to lose their seats because they were occupied by intruders.
