Luis García could not with the Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles completed their three-game series sweep against the Houston Astros on Wednesday by winning 5-2. And the Creole Luis García suffered his fifth defeat of the season.

Baltimore woke up the Venezuelan with four runs in the first inning, taking advantage of location problems that resulted in three walks. A double by Ryan Mountcastle and a single by Maikel Franco were enough to set up the ambush.

Garcia rallied and hung up three zeros to finish with a 4.0 inning job. But the sidereal could not react and the Creole ended up suffering the setback. His record was 6-5 and its effectiveness in 3.14.

Houston’s only two streaks came in the fourth inning with hits from Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker.

And Austin Hays drove in the fifth for the birds in the eighth with a solo home run.

Tanner Scott (3-3) took the win by completing a 1.2-round relay in which he allowed no hits and struck out four.
