Leaked Indonesian National Team Agenda, Shin Tae-yong Focuses on U-18 and U-22 National Teams

The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, leads a training camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

BOLASPORT.COM – Secretary General of PSSI, Yunus Nusi, revealed Shin Tae-yong’s agenda with the Indonesian national team in the next few months.

The Indonesian national team has completed the struggle in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers with unsatisfactory results.

Even though they managed to hold Thailand to a 2-2 score on June 3, 2021, the Garuda squad was actually slaughtered by Vietnam 0-4 and UAE 0-5.

The result made the Indonesian national team huddle in the caretaker position of Group G by collecting only 1 point.

After the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, the Indonesian national team has no other agenda in the next few months.

Therefore, Shin Tae-yong will focus on preparing the U-18 and U-22 Indonesian national teams.

The two teams were prepared for two different events, namely the 2023 U-20 World Cup and the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam.

“After this, Shin Tae-yong will also return to preparing the U-18 team this year in preparation for the 2023 U-20 World Cup,” said PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi, quoted from PSSI Youtube.
