The theft probably happened in the underground car park of the stadium. “Lando was arrested and another robber took his watch from him in a split second. He looked pretty upset, ”an eyewitness told the newspaper.
The watch is probably a Richard Mille RM 11-03, worth almost 47,000 euros. Norris had uploaded photos of himself in the stadium on Instagram. The watch he wore that evening is easy to see in the pictures. The watch manufacturer Richard Mille is one of the sponsors of the McLaren team.
Riots even before the game
Videos of chaotic scenes could be seen on social media before the game, such as people running up stairs near Wembley Stadium and being followed by security guards. There were fistfights. Another video showed how several people broke through a blockade by security personnel and knocked over barriers in the process.
For Norris, the home Grand Prix is on the weekend. The Great Britain Grand Prix will take place in Silverstone on Sunday.
