Market research company NPD Group released the US monthly video game charts today. This shows how successful the new releases “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart”, “Mario Golf: Super Rush” and “Scarlet Nexus” have been in the United States. However, there is a well-known long-running favorite between these two titles.
While the exclusive PS5 title is at the top, we see the new “Mario Golf” offshoot in third place. “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” squeezes in between and thus occupies second place.
Another new release was able to enter in fifth place. The anime role-playing game “Scarlet Nexus” is well received by the Americans and sold extremely well on both the PlayStation and the Xbox.
The return of “Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 + 2” can be explained by the switch release on June 25th. “Sea of Thieves” also moved forward, which can be traced back to the release of “A Pirate’s Life”.
In addition to retail sales, digital sales data was also taken into account by the publishers. However, not every company publishes information on digital sales, for example Nintendo or Activision Blizzard. In addition, the digital Xbox sales were omitted from the baseball simulation “MLB: The Show 21”.
