Do French supporters have the “seum”? A petition to replay France-Switzerland collects more than 200,000 signatures!

Defeat is never easy to digest, many Belgians know it. This is particularly the case when leading the score with two goals difference a few minutes from the end of the game. But it happened to the France team against Switzerland in the round of 16 of the Euro. “It’s football. That’s why we love this sport” also, as recalled by the captain of the Blues, Hugo Loris.

Some supporters and viewers are not yet determined to accept the loss on penalties. On the internet, a petition has already gathered more than 200,000 signatures to replay the match. Why ? The Swiss goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, would have cheated during the stopped penalty, shot by Mbappé. “During the penalty shoot-out for the France – Switzerland match, goalkeeper Sommer was not on his line during Mbappé’s shot. We demand the cancellation of the qualification of Switzerland, and therefore to replay the match. Sport must be played within the rules and the rules have not been respected tonight “, notes the petition.

The VAR checked this last penalty before validating the victory of Switzerland. The goalkeeper had one foot on his line when the Frenchman fired, unfortunately for the more than 200,000 signatories.
