Children of Aubépins introduced to archery

The Concept Ball de Champforgeuil offered on Wednesday an initiation to archery to children of the Aubépins district, as part of Quartiers d’été. An outdoor sport, of skill and concentration. More details with Info Chalon.

Indoor complex of 2500 m² of covered land located in Champforgeuil which allows you to practice a multitude of sports activities such as tennis, badminton, field hockey, bubble football, futsal, tennis ball, archery, ping pong or basketball, the Concept Ball offered an introduction to archery at the Maison de quartier des Aubépins, Wednesday July 28 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..

Yousra, Ibrahim, Ellina, Bouchroi and Lorenzo, neighborhood children, were welcomed by Lilian Aguenot, a sports educator who became the manager and owner of the sports complex since last January.

Lilian explained to them the rules of this sport which is practiced from 7 to 77 years (or even more) and demonstrated how to shoot accurately and safely at targets.

Archery is a sport which requires skill, calm, to be posed and very attentive to one’s posture, it also develops concentration and gives strength in the arms.

The body of the bows is made of wood fibers and the strings of dacron, a synthetic material. The arrows are made of carbon and shot at a distance of 7 to 10 meters.

This activity was offered as part of Summer Quarters.

You can find Lilian as of today, Thursday July 29 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Maison de quartier des Prés Saint-Jean, to discover football, an innovative practice offered by the Concept Ball de Champforgeuil.
