Cassby announced his retirement: it’s time to leave. My dream of basketball has come true.

Live it, July 19, the former NBA player Cassby officially announced his retirement today and issued a statement.

Cassby wrote in the statement: “Over the years, basketball has brought me a lot. I have reached the peak of basketball in Europe and the world, which I have never dreamed of in the past. It is really hard for me to believe my own. Dreams can come true.”

“I realized that it was time to quit the basketball game and it was time to start the next phase of my life.” Cassby added.

“It is a fulfillment for me to be able to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv because I have returned to my homeland where I grew up and was educated. (Announced my retirement) is a difficult time, but I will always be a faithful to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Fans and followers.” Cassby said at last.

Cassby has played in the NBA for 10 seasons and has played for the Kings, Rockets, Warriors, Pelicans, Timberwolves, Grizzlies and Cavaliers. After being waived by the Grizzlies in February 19th, he returned to the Israeli League and has played since.

Cassby played in 588 regular season games in his NBA career, averaging 7.9 points, 4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.6 steals in 20.3 minutes per game and 36.8% from three-point range.
