Bauke Mollema enjoys solo with the arrival of the Pyrenees in the Tour

BarcelonaWith the arrival of the Pyrenees, ready to decide the general classification of the Tour, the 14th stage between Carcassonne and Quilhan, 183.7 km, was ideal for the brave who want to be able to explain, many years from now, that they win a stage of the Grande Boucle. And the Dutchman Bauke Mollema (Trek Segafredo) took advantage of this with a well-calculated attack that allowed him to win a solo stage for the second time in the Tour, as he did four years ago. Mollema, one of those runners who always improves performance in three-week races, has been the main protagonist of the day along with the Frenchman Guillaume Martin, who, being part of the winning getaway of the day, has cut so much time to the favorites who ended up climbing to second place overall, still four minutes from a cold and calculating Tadej Pogacar (UAE). The Slovenian knows that this Sunday’s stage will be very different.
