Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Bundesliga basketball team Hamburg Towers and Marvin Ogunsipe go their separate ways. As the club announced on Wednesday, the 2.04 meter tall forward will return to Bayern Munich. In the past two seasons, the Austrian had played on loan for the Hanseatic League.
After a strong start to the past season, Ogunsipe was initially incapacitated by a broken nose and then by persistent back problems for long stretches of the season. “The past year was not an easy one for Marvin,” said Towers managing director Marvin Willoughby: “We hope that he will stay with the BBL and make a breakthrough in the next few years.”
