Basketball: Luke Fischer leaves Orléans for Nanterre

In addition to the excellent season of his team, eighth and quarter-finalist of Jeep Elite, his 20 points (at 66.7%) and his 16 points (at 87.5%) during the two confrontations of the OLB with Nanterre in the French league had undoubtedly particularly marked the spirits : Luke Fischer (26 years old), the tall (2.11 m) and very mobile American pivot of Orleans Loiret Basket, has signed up with the Hauts-de-Seine club for next season.

Third at evaluation

Luke Fischer, who finished OLB’s best offensive rebounder (0.8 catches per game), was dominating in the very good course of his team, the first in which he evolved in France: he accumulated 12.7 points (to 61.2% in the small perimeter), 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 assist, for an evaluation of 15.5; the third highest in Orleans Loiret Basket.

Luke Fischer is the fourth recruit from Nanterre after the backs Jeremy Senglin (who returns for two seasons), Benjamin Sene (two seasons) and Bastien Pinault (one season).

Tenth (with two victories less than Orleans), the JSF Nanterre will not play in the European Cup next season.

Third official departure

Luke Fischer is the third player in the Orleans professional squad to have signed for a new club, after Paris Lee (Monaco) and Chima Moneke (Manresa, Spain). Giovan Oniangue, the captain, activated his exit clause; and Ada Sane is credited with the desire to pursue her career abroad, in Spain in particular.

Conversely, after having reconstituted its technical staff around Germain Castano (with Thomas Drouot and Pierre Tillay), the OLB extended the lease of Malela Mutual (it will be for him the fifth on the banks of the Loire) and attracted winger Jean-Philippe Dally (Evreux, ProB).
