An improbable 3rd Splash Bro emerges at the Warriors!

With the announced return of Klay Thompson next season, the Warriors will finally find their beloved pair of shooting backs. But besides the two famous Splash Brothers, another member of the much more surprising roster would be shining in the shot from afar!

Unlike the last two seasons, Steve Kerr should finally be able to count on a complete “star power”. Deprived of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson during the 2019-20 season, then the latter on the following year, the Warriors coach will benefit, barring disaster, from the return of his rear in the coming months. In the meantime, the technician spends his summer in Tokyo, where he works in the staff of Team USA.

As such, he can closely observe the offseason of a certain Draymond Green. The only Golden State player in the group selected by Gregg Popovich, the 31-year-old interior hopes to pick up his second Olympic gold medal. Before that, he lived a funny scene with his trainer, which the latter recently reported on the program “Damon, Ratto & Kolsky” on the airwaves of 95.7 The Game.

I took Draymond’s rebounds in the warm-up the other day, during his shootout. It was my first time doing it. I have been training Draymond for seven years, but I found myself taking his rebounds during his shootout! (Laughs) This is all fun. It’s all new and different. It’s just a wonderful experience.

Widely used in the two preparatory matches played by the Americans, Dray will undoubtedly have a major role to play off the bench during the competition. He was particularly at his advantage against Nigeria, against whom he had scored no less than 10 points in 20 minutes. However, it is more … for his 3-point address that he has been impressing Kerr for a few days.

I’m not kidding that he shoots incredibly well. He just plays with a lot of confidence. I think his last two months have been really good for him after the tough season he had a year earlier. I think for Draymond, Steph and our whole team, these last 20 games – even if we didn’t go to the playoffs – were very important for individual and collective confidence.

He who has not yet tried his luck behind the arc under the colors of Team USA, would therefore display a rare insolence in the field of training. Something to make his coach salivate for the upcoming campaign.

I think Draymond is really good, and I can’t wait to train him this summer and next season.

Not at all comfortable at 3 points over the last few seasons, Draymond Green would regain confidence in the exercise with Team USA. Bodes well for the Warriors, who will never be without a good shooter.
