Dr Brent Roussin, provincial public health chief, made the announcement during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. All amateurs who will go to IG Field must have received two doses of the vaccine against COVID-19.
This means that up to 33,500 people could crowd into the Winnipeg amphitheater.
The defending Gray Cup champions will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for the occasion. Eight days later, it will be the turn of the Toronto Argonauts to visit the Blue Bombers.
