Bonn is the surprise of the baseball champions’ cup. The German team repeats the success on the opening day against Parma, beating (14-13) the Pirates of Amsterdam and by mortgaging the passage of the round in group B of the event. The certainties of the eve – with the ducals first and the Dutch then given as favorites of the group – crumble on a line up that does not discount and in the case of today’s game on the performance of Wilson Lee both on the mountain and in the batting box. Started the match as a starting pitcher (then moved to the left outside) he pitched 5 innings, conceding 5 hits and as many bases and points, but also leaving 7 opponents to the pot. In batting, on the other hand, he went into the box 5 times and touched the “cycle” by beating two home runs, a triple and a double, scoring three points and pushing seven at home. For the record, he is first in the home runs (3 in two games) in the points beaten at home (8) and in the hits (5). Not bad for the Australian who plays in the Bonn Capitals team. In the same group the rain blocked the match between Parma and the hosts, the Arrows of Ostrava. It is played tomorrow at 10, immediately after the ducals will take the field (13.30) in the decisive challenge for second place against Amsterdam. At 21 the Capitals will look for the trio against Ostrawa.

In group A, on the other hand, Bologna leads the table with two wins, while the rain stopped the match between Neptunus Rotterdam and Heidenheim when the Dutch were 3-1 ahead. The match between Heidenheim and Rouen Huskies will resume tomorrow morning at 11 from the fourth inning, at 16 the match between Heidenheim and Rouen Huskies is scheduled, at 17.30 the one that promises to be decisive for the head of the group between Bologna and Rotterdam.
