The Spanish olympic soccer team has had to delay a day his trip to Japan, where he is going to dispute the Tokyo Games, after “a mechanical problem” was detected in the plane that was going to take them to the Japanese capital this Monday, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has confirmed.
«A last minute mechanical problem with the plane has prevented the flight from leaving of the Olympic selection destined for Tokyo. The operating company of the flight has explained that for security reasons it was better to postpone the flight until tomorrow to be able to change the plane, “confirmed sources from the federative body.
In this way, Luis de la Fuente’s men will take this Tuesday morning at 10.30 am, another flight on a different plane than the one scheduled for this Monday.
The Olympic team is made up of Unai Simón (Athletic), Álvaro Fernández (Huesca) and Iván Villar (RC Celta), as goalkeepers; Óscar Mingueza (Barcelona), Jesús Vallejo (Granada), Eric García (Barcelona), Pau Torres (Villarreal), Óscar Gil (Espanyol) and Juan Miranda (Betis), as defenders; Marc Cucurella (Getafe), Jon Moncayola (Osasuna), Martín Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Dani Ceballos (Real Madrid), Mikel Merino (Real Sociedad), Carlos Soler (Valencia) and Pedri (Barcelona), as midfielders; and Bryan Gil (Sevilla), Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), Dani Olmo (Leipzig), Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad), Rafa Mir (Wolverhampton) and Javi Puado (Espanyol), as forwards.
