2020 Olympics: Mauritian athletes to follow

Who will be the Mauritian athletes involved in the Tokyo Olympic Games? They will be eight compatriots competing in six disciplines. The main flag bearers are weightlifter Roilya Ranaivosoa and boxer Richarno Colin. During the presentation, these two athletes wore the official costume that will be worn by all members of the delegation during the opening ceremony of the Games.

Merven Clair (Boxing), Alicia Kok Shun and Mathieu Marquet (Swimming), Jérémie Laraudeuse (Athletics), Rémi Feuillet (Judo) and Julien Paul (Badminton) will be the other Mauritians to watch. In addition to these eight athletes, the delegation in Japan will be made up of 22 people (officials and coaches included).

It is this Sunday evening that part of the Mauritian delegation will head to Tokyo. A passage in Dubai before mocking the land of the Rising Sun awaits the quadricolores. The flight to Dubai takes off at 11 p.m. and Mauritians will spend a whole day in the United Arab Emirates before boarding the flight to Tokyo which will be ten hours long.
