Omar Marmoush is firmly planned for VfL Wolfsburg for the coming season. “Omar is coming back and I am convinced that he will stay with us”, so the clear words of sports director Marcel Schäfer to the ‘kicker’. Recently promoted Greuther Fürth showed interest in the 22-year-old Egyptian offensive player, who played a strong second half for loan club FC St. Pauli (seven goals, three assists).
The situation is different with Wolfsburg’s wingers João Victor (27) and Josip Brekalo (23). The former referred to the ‘kicker’ as “Change Candidates”, while a Brekalo transfer is likely to be a question of price. The trade journal estimates the planned transfer fee for the Croatian European Championship driver, who contributed seven goals and four assists to the season of wolves, at around 15 million euros.
