Prime Minister unable to talk about the significance of holding the Olympics

At the event just before the release of the Chinese movie “Detective Chinatown Tokyo MISSION” held in Tokyo on June 24, actor Tomokazu Miura said, “Why do you think it’s strange all the time? “Kana, these people,” he said, questioning the holding of the Tokyo Olympics. Mr. Miura emphasized above all, “Why don’t you tell me the reason? Why don’t you tell me the reason? I want you to do something about this” (Nikkan Sports)。

This is a valid opinion. I have never heard a decent story from Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, Tamayo Marukawa Olympic Minister, and Seiko Hashimoto, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. All that comes out is the abstract words such as “festival of peace” and “bonds”.

Kaori Yamaguchi, a JOC director and judoka, has continued to raise concerns about hosting the Olympics in Corona. Mr. Yamaguchi stated in an interview with the Asahi Shimbun (June 23) as follows.

<The Olympics are said to be a festival of peace, but the Olympics do not make the world peaceful. In order to move toward peace, we will talk with people who have different opinions and find out what to do. If the Olympics become an event that leaves the people behind, who is the Olympics in the first place? >
