Tom Brady trains “full house” with champion Buccaneers

Tom Brady returned to the field on Tuesday and, according to the coach of the Buccaneers champions, Bruce Arians, lo hizo “a full”, after undergoing knee surgery days after winning the Super Bowl.

Although he could not do all the exercises on the same level as his teammates in the mandatory minicamp practice, the quarterback – who will turn 44 on August 3 – seems to be heading in the right direction and it is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

“(Brady) was full,” Arians said at a news conference. “It looked good, (but) I had to take it out in a couple (of exercises)”.

Brady underwent a minor cleaning of his left knee after winning his seventh Super Bowl and first with the Bucs. He reportedly played with discomfort for most of the 2020 campaign.

“I told him ‘you can have four (reps)’, but He kept begging me to get back in. The only thing I didn’t want is for him to come in when we practice the blitz ”.

For a moment it was thought that Brady I could not participate in the minicamp, but the Buccaneers medical staff finally gave the go-ahead for “TB12” to train.

“The doctors sent him (to Brady),” Arians added. “They both said he was ready, but we’re going to be careful what we’re doing with him. Trying to prevent him from playing is very difficult ”.

Brady ended his first season with the Bucs with 4,633 passing yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He hadn’t surpassed 4,600 yards since 2012, when he finished with 4,827 with the Patriots.

In the playoffs he added another 1,061 yards and 10 passes to the end zone, including three in Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brady has been named five-time Super Bowl MVP; He leads the NFL with 230 wins, 24 of them in the postseason, and also ranks first in the league with 581 touchdown passes.

He is about to start his twenty-second season in the NFL.
