Today we are all with Teófilo Gutiérrez, for the time in which he faced Néstor Pitana hard

Nestor Pitana
It is today one of the most famous names in Colombia and all this, because of the controversial arbitration that took place last Wednesday in the match between the Colombian National Team and Brazil, on the fourth date of the Copa América. In the end, the duel ended 2-1 in favor of the Brazilians; with signals for the Argentine referee.

And it is that, the reminiscences of other antecedents of Pitana with some Colombian footballers, have begun to appear.

One of Pitana’s old acquaintances is Teófilo Gutiérrez, who, during his time in Argentine soccer, crossed paths with him a couple of times and things were not peaceful.

In total, the gaucho collegiate expelled the Barranquilla-born man on two occasions. But, the most remembered occurred in the match between Boca Juniors and Racing de Avellaneda, corresponding to the 2011 opening tournament. The action took place in the 76th minute, after ‘Teo’ received a contact inside the rival area, but not was decreed as criminal.

Immediately, the current Junior footballer rebuked the judge of the commitment and insulted him repeatedly, which led him to see the red card. There was even a possible spitting, but in the final report, Pitana only registered that he had received bad words from the Colombian.

Gutiérrez Roncancio’s second expulsion occurred in 2012, in an ‘academy’ match, against Banfield. Although, on this occasion, things did not go to major.
