This Wednesday Michoacan judocas begin their participation in the National Games

The largest fair in the Mexican Republic begins in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and the selected Michoacans report ready to intervene in the first CONADE 2021 National Games.

“On this occasion, unfortunately, we were able to classify only a very few boys, since as a sport it did hit us a lot because we were in contact, many boys are still afraid of this return due to a possible contagion of what is COVID,” said the president from the Michoacan Judo Association, Mónica Hernández.

There are three Purépecha judocas in the junior category, who will enter the tatami from next Wednesday, they are Divany Martínez, Erika Pita and Cristian León.

“There are good expectations of the kids, however we know that it is a difficult competition for judo and the categories that were able to classify are categories where there is a lot of competition at the national level and we hope that the boys can get into the medals,” he added .

Despite the ups and downs that the pandemic has caused, the state’s athletes do not lower their guard, they travel to the northern sultana where they will be measured against representatives from all over the country.

“The boys who managed to qualify are excited because they had a long wait of more than a year without being able to compete and now that this fair maximum is taken for them is very exciting,” he concluded.
