The U19 three-player basketball qualification for the 14th National Games ended yesterday at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Complex. The Shanghai U19 three-player basketball team successfully qualified and will participate in the U19 three-player basketball finals of the National Games in Xi’an in September.
The Shanghai three-man men’s basketball team has been successfully promoted under the leadership of head coach Li Qiuping, team leader Tang Tao and head coach Peng Fei, and has qualified for the final stage of the National Games. The U19 three-person basketball qualification tournament Shanghai team is still led by Li Qiuping, Tang Tao and Peng Fei. The six participating players are Liu Zhengqing, Zhang Jiahao, Lai Ke, Liu Haolin, Wei Zhen and Wan Mengfei. Among them, Liu Zhengqing and Lai Ke went out with the three-a-side team on the second day after the end of the five-a-side National Games play-offs.
This three-person basketball team with the Shanghai Jiushi Youth Team as the team performed tenaciously in the first two stages of the game, and the cooperation is gradually getting better. In the critical third stage, the team first defeated the Zhejiang team with difficulty, and then defeated the Henan team with Liu Zhengqing’s long-range shot, and achieved the second place in this stage. In the end, the Shanghai team ranked 6th among the 21 teams in the three stages, and successfully qualified for the promotion of “through Xi’an”.
The U19 three-on-three basketball qualifying tournament is the highest-level three-person basketball game in China. Most of the participating players are from provincial CBA professional club youth teams and Tsinghua University and other famous basketball schools. The competition is divided into three stages. In the second and third stages, 4 and 3 teams will advance to the National Games finals respectively.
