The mayor of Villares de la Reina, Ventura Recio, together with the Councilor for Sports, Miryam Tobal, have received the Plasticos Duran Baloncesto Villares team by the City Council on the occasion of their promotion to the sports category. The basketball team debuted this season in the National First Division league and achieved an excellent result: qualifying for the EBA league, for which there were only two places.
The reception has begun at the gates of the Town Hall, where the players and the technical team have been received with great enthusiasm by the regional leaders and the fans who wanted to share this joyous moment with their team. Subsequently, and from the balcony of the mayor’s office, both the mayor and the councilor had words of congratulations and gratitude for taking the name of Villares de la Reina to the top.
