The IES La Orden achieves 6 medals in Ronda – Deportes Huelva

In the first place, in the sub-13, David Carvajal has obtained the silver medal after losing to Guillermo Muñoz (Andalusia) by 21-14 and 21-19, respectively. For her part, in the women’s individual, Bárbara Martos has achieved bronze after losing in the semifinal against Sara Arenas (Volante Rute) by 21-11 in the first set and 21-15 in the second.

To close the category, Carvajal and Martos were proclaimed winners of the mixed doubles. The Albiazul duo beat Víctor Béjar and Blanca Rubio (Benalmádena) in the final, defeating them 21-14 and 21-17.

Already in the U-17, Rubén Carreras got the silver medal after falling in the final against Guillermo Nuviala (Huelva) after a tight match that was resolved with a result of 23-21, 19-21 and 21-15.

On the other hand, in the men’s doubles, Bernabé Padilla represented IES La Orden on the podium with José Antonio Serrano (Benalmádena). Both achieved bronze after losing to Francisco Javier Cardeña and Antonio Ruz (Arjonilla) in the semifinal by 21-16 and 21-19.

To finish, the Huelva club’s flyers won another bronze thanks to Rubén Carreras and his partner, María Merchán (Rinconada), who could not face Martín Mosquera and Laura Anglada (Huelva) in the semifinal of the mixed doubles, before whom they lost by 21-18 and 21-17.

Finally, from the IES La Orden Badminton Club it is reported that Pablo Abián, Haideé Ojeda and Víctor Martín are already in Alicante, where they have been summoned with the Spanish National Team to carry out a concentration and play the International from June 16 to 19 from Spain 2021; For this reason, the entity wants the athletes to make a great journey in the competition and show their quality on the tapestries.
