The “Flag Day” table tennis tournament was a success

In the preview of June 20 holiday was played on Table tennis tournament “Flag Day” on Las Heras. The contest had the participation of 40 enrolled in all three categories: First, Second Y Promotional.

The setting for this tournament was in the Municipal Complex July 11, where several tables were placed for the competition of this sport that Lasherenses is passionate about. This was organized by the Municipal School of Table Tennis, in charge of the instructor José Luis Fernández.

The tournament was developed by shifts in each category to respect the sanitary protocol for the pandemic of Covid-19 and not only residents of Las Heras, but they approached compete athletes from Caleta Olivia, Los Antiguos, Pico Truncado and Puerto Deseado.

First

The highest category of Table tennis, which has a high level of competitiveness, had 16 participants, who were divided into three groups.

The final in this division had an experienced as it is Guillermo Aparicio de Caleta Olivia and on the other side the youth of Fernando Gonzalo from Los Antiguos.

On four sets he won it old: for 11-6, 5-11, 14-12 and 11-9, Fernando Gonzalo could keep the title of Tournament of “Flag Day”.

Second

Regarding the second category, there were 15 players who participated. They were divided into three groups of 5.

Joseph Muñoz from Caleta Olivia he was able to stay with the championship. The caletense, who had left group A first with 8 units, faced Lily Hernandez, whom he surpassed by 3 to 0: 11-1, 11-4 and 13-11. In this way, Muñoz achieved his first title.
