As we know, among the various changes that the NFL made for this new campaign, as we will now have 17 regular season games, the league decided to shorten the preseason to just three games per team, with the exception of Dallas and Pittsburgh who will face each other in the Hall of Fame game.

This means, among other things, that all substitute players will have to show more in less time, as they will have a shorter window to earn a spot within the final 53-man squad. However, although we will have one less preseason week, there will be games with too much quality. In this article we tell you which are the 9 games you should follow in the 2021 NFL Preseason.

Week 1 – NFL 2021 Preseason

Titans @ Falcons

WR Julio Jones will play in Atlanta with the number 2 on the jersey but in the colors of the Titans. Turns out that the Falcons sent Jones to Tennessee This offseason with the hope of not facing him very often, but the first game of the legendary WR under the command of Matt Vrabel, will be against the team that drafted him in 2011. Being a preseason game, nothing assures us that Jones will be uniform, but if we do so, it will be a duel that we must not take our eyes off of because, in addition, we may be able to witness the debut of TE Kyle Pitts in the Atlanta offense.

Browns @ Jaguars

Saturday August 14th, 6:00 p.m. Central Mexico

Jacksonville’s first preseason game will mark QB Trevor Lawrence’s opening minutes as a professional and we certainly can’t miss it. In addition, all eyes will also be on Tim Tebow, who was quarterback for the Broncos from 2010 to 2012, but who made the transition to tight end nine years later. His rivals will be Browns who will surely debut his first-round pick from the 2021 NFL Draft, Greg Newsome II, one of the league’s most interesting new cornerbacks.

Texans @ Packers

Saturday August 14th, 7:00 p.m. Central Mexico

Two teams with very peculiar situations will face each other in Week 1 of the preseason. On the one hand, we will see whether or not the Texans will have their star QB Deshaun Watson, who has been involved this offseason in trouble with the law. If he is not present, then we will surely see Tyrod Taylor take control of Houston. In the other part, we can see if by then current NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers has already solved his problems with Green Bay; But whatever happens we must prepare to see Jordan Love for the first time commanding significant snaps on offense on the pitch.
