Each week, discover our selection of 5 rap and R&B clips released in recent days in the US… On the program today, DaBaby is going back to college on the occasion of Ball If I Want To, the Migos enjoy the Jamaican sun in Why Not as Busta Rhymes takes stock in a woman’s arms with Deep Thought. For their part, DDG, OG Parker and YoungBoy NBA seek to create awareness of the harms of the street in Hood Melody while Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty and Sir Mix-A-Lot dressed in red for the Posse On Bouldercrest

  • DaBaby – Ball If I Want To :

At 29, DaBaby has just unveiled an unreleased single called Ball If I Want To. Made by the rapper himself, the humorous video takes us to the heart of an American campus where students indulge in many choreographies and other twerks, while a mascot in the shape of a giant baby releases a few crazy dance steps, and the rapper is tangled in his braids. Note that the song is very short, since it only lasts 1 minute 53. This new musical news arrives just a few hours later the falling out between Megan Thee Stallion and him. If the circumstances surrounding the conflict remain unclear, the 2 artists have recently unfollowed, and this while they are long-time friends. The genesis of the problem would be linked to the fact that DaBaby agreed to pose on the song TREASURE, published a few days ago, while Tory Lanez is accused of shooting Meg in the summer of 2020.

The Migos unveiled the long-awaited Culture III this Friday June 11. And if everyone expected sales of anthology, 3 years after their last project to date, the numbers turned out to be very disappointing.   • Busta Rhymes – Deep Thought :

In November 2020, Busta Rhymes unveiled Extinction Level Event 2 : The Wrath of God. A 10th album of his long career, on which we found Chris Rock, Rakim, the late Ol ‘Dirty Bastard, Rick Ross, Anderson .Paak, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Q-Tip, Pete Rock, MOP, Bell Biv Devoe or Encore Kendrick Lamar… Just that ! 2 months after having clipped the title Where I Belong featuring with Mariah Carey, he continues to put songs from the album in pictures, this time with Deep Thought. Directed by the rapper and director Benny Boom et The Dragon, lThe video opens with a panoramic view of the city from Leader of The New School: New York in the middle of the night. We then see the 49-year-old rapper, with a glass of alcohol in his hand, rapping his troubles as a woman tries to console her as best she can. This new clipped track which arrives just a few days after the 18th anniversary of the hit I Know What You Want which brought together Bus-A-Bus and Mariah Carey in 2003.

  • DDG & OG Parker feat YoungBoy NBA – Hood Melody :

In March, Darryl Granberry Jr. aka DDG (23) teamed up with 27-year-old Atlanta producer OG Parker. Both have released the EP, Die 4 Respect, from which were extracted singles like Rule #1 featuring with Lil Yachty, Impatient with Coi Leray or even Hakuna Matata in collaboration with Tyla Yaweh. It is now alongside YoungBoy NBA that they unveil the clip of Hood Melody. The video, produced by Black Square Productions, shows us the sad reality of the street, where many young people lose their lives, for settling scores and other big money stories. A finding that concerns YoungBoy has become more discreet lately. Currently in jail after trying to flee from the police in The Angels In March, he was the victim of a false rumor a fortnight ago, after a source announced on Facebook that he was found dead in his cell. Rest assured, however, he is fine …

  • Gucci Mane feat. Pooh Shiesty & Sir Mix-A-Lot – Posse On Bouldercrest :

Gucci Mane a fate son 17ème studio album, Ice Daddy this Friday, June 18. For the occasion, he appealed to heavy in terms of guests, with BigWalkDog, Pooh Shiesty, BIG30, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Lil Baby, Lil uzi vert, 2 Chainz, Young Dolph, E-40, Project Pat and finally Peewee Longway. If several singles including Shit Crazy (feat. BIG30) released at the end of April, Poppin (feat. BigWalkDog) unveiled a month later then Came From Da Botom and Like 34 & 8 (feat. Pooh Shiesty) posted recently, have already seen the light of day, it’s the turn of a new kid to be published. This is the title Posse On Bouldercrest, featuring with Pooh Shiesty and Sir Mix-A-Lot. Shot by Joe Yung Spike, the clip does not derogate from the rule of the videos generally offered by Gucci, since we see a convoy of luxury vehicles, including red Rolls Royces, like the color code of the short film. If the street is in the spotlight in the image, the rapper takes the opportunity to show off his success …
