Tennis.-Feliciano meets Shapovalov again this time at Queen’s

MADRID, 17 (EUROPA PRESS)

Spanish tennis player Feliciano López fell for the second week in a row against Canadian Denis Shapovalov, this Wednesday in his second match in the Queen’s tournament, ATP 500 category and where he defended the title achieved in 2019.

‘Feli’, who won the last edition on the London grass in both singles and doubles with Andy Murray, succumbed to a Shapovalov who was also his executioner in the second round of Stuttgart.

The Toledo did not enjoy his best version with the serve, while the American did not have to deal with any ‘break’ ball against him. Thus, Feliciano gave up the first set with Shapovalov’s attack in the sixth game, and another break for 6-2.

The current champion, already on the ropes, this time gave up his service in a 3-1 that ended up reinforcing the confidence of Shapovalov, ready to perform on the tour on grass.
